Hello - I am Producer of a hugely successful UK documentary series in the UK hosted by a very well known and respected practicing Doctor over here. Our series is all about health and lifestyle and indeed is the highest rated such show on the network here.
We are filming in Las Vegas in December and I am urgently looking for positive stories of people, businesses or products that are offering specialist services specifically to people of larger size in Las Vegas.
For instance I am keen to track down a specialist plus-sized wedding shop or something similar. We are already filming at a plus sized nightclub and with an obesity therapist - so these are the kind of positive stories how people are managing to turn the plus-size situation into a positive and help out other people and are able to earn money from it.
I would be hugely grateful if you could contact me with any suggestions if something springs to mind please? I'd also be interested in speaking with a support group in Las Vegas if there is one where larger people get together to discuss issues and concerns etc.

I had the sleeve done on the 31st of october by Tom Umbach. Doing great so far, no pain and no issues with getting all my water and protein in!
Just wondering if anyone else here in Southern Nevada is having surgery soon. I am scheduled for November 4.
How can we get someone to host this in Vegas? I think it would be great!

There does not seem to be much activity on OH here in the Vegas area....I have found my weight to Surgical Weight Control Center - Dr Atkinson and have attended their Nutrition 101 (register in advance) and it was excellent!. I also attended the support group run by the doctor (pretty good) and the emotional support group run by a therapist (pretty good), and hope to attend a couple more they offer. I did not have surgery there, but Dr Atkinson did an Endscopy to look at my stoma, pouch, etc and was very welcoming to me to attend their classes. I am glad to reconnect, that's for sure.
