Have questions regarding OK medicaid covering RNY

My mother is morbidly obese and has multiple comorbidities and has decided that bariatric surgery is an appropriate choice for her. She is on SoonerHealth/ Medicaid. She contacted a local surgeon in Enid, OK and her insurance provider. The surgeon does not participate in the medicaid program and the insurance company says that they do not cover bariatric surgery. It appears that many persons have gotten approval while being on Medicaid programs. I want to assist my mother in this venture and need help from anyone who has dealt with the Oklahoma medicaid system and this surgery. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you...Will Royal

i am having the same problem with medicad and prime advantage. if you do get help please let me know. i also big i am a 515 lbs. and very ill. i want to be smaller and happy. and just to get around the house and out of this bedroom. thank you becky
