Wow am so excited, talked to TWH today and after some pushing I got my orientation date. If anyone remembers I had my referral sent in August and it was sent back to my doctor in February. I brought this up when I spoke with TWH today, (and other things nicely) and pronto got a call back with my orientation date. If i had not been assertive about this I would have been at the bottom of the pile and sitting with a referral of 2 weeks ago, huge difference. So now just to bide the time til the appts start.

On a side note, anyone else going to be at TWH on May 25 for orientation?

Glad to hear you got your orientation. You definitely did the right thing in being an advocate for yourself. Otherwise, as you said, you'd be bottom of the pile, again.

thanks i'm pretty proud of myself, for once in my life i truly stood up for myself and was assertive. I was not rude or mean but honest truthful and made my point well. Now the nerves set in as i start planning and wondering.

Oh yeah i'm so excited i'll be sure to keep you posted. I'm also excited at the thought of porter airline opening up, it's only $99 round trip to Toronto which is amazing.
