Dry skin

Okay, I need some serious help.  My skin is so dry that I'm causing scratch marks if I scratch (if that makes any sense lol).  Even on my face, which is humiliating. NO, I didn't walk into a door, nor did my boyfriend hit me. haha

Help?

I hear you. I have the same problem. Find that Aveno has really good products. I use the one for extra dry skin. It has a some menthol in which cools and stops the urge to scratch.

I use an Aveeno product as well - Aveeno Active Naturals, Creamy Moisturizing Oil.  It's a lotion but it says "oil".  My DD always has very dry skin in the summer from swimming and this really helps her.  I keep a bottle at my desk and a small one in my purse.

There's also hydrocortisone cream.  I'm using that right now for an allergic reaction rash on my arm.  Keeps the 'itchies' at bay.

Thank you. I don't even think I'm itching because it's "itchy".  I'll try anything at this point.

Hi Karen. I personally use the unscendted Lubriderm (cheaper than Aveeno) or if I'm really dry (like my hands/feet in the winter) then I use the Aveeno baby eczema cream - Yes, it's for babies but it's awesome, and it's always kicking around here anyways since my son gets some eczema in the winter.

Don't scratch... rub! :)

Sounds like what I said to my son when he had chicken pox. LOL

I'll try anything at this point.  Especially on my face.

I am also a user of the Aveeno, I use the unscented and once a week I put baby oil in the tub just a few drops in a full tub and relax. I have terribly dry skin and this seems to be what helps the most.

I used the oatmeal bath, perhaps I should revisit it.

Dump some heavy cream in your tub water, it will soothe the skin and help to keep it moist.
