WLS and Crohn's

A friend of mine is considering WLS, but she has Crohn's disease.  I know there are a number of different procedures.  Wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to have WLS with Crohn's and if so, which one is done?

It will depend on how well controlled it is and whether she has had surgery for it. It may be a reason to have VSG, but there have been people that have had RNY.

If I had something like Crohn's disease, I would be asking for VSG.  I'd want to keep all my intestines intact.

I know 2 people on this board that have true IBS either Crohn's or Colitis and both were told they were to get the VSG and they did.
