Got my surgeons appt

I am meeting with the Surgeon on the 10th of February.  I have about  115 lbs to lose so i assume i will be on two weeks of optifast.  Is it generally two weeks from your surgeon appt?  They told me this was a cancellations from someone dropping out.  The next two weeks of waiting will be brutal.

I was told to go to Toronto Western to the same place we always go however, when she started to tell me who the doctor was the phone cut out (i was on my cell)  I tried to call back but didnt get through.  I have to call back on monday and find out the surgeons name.

That is awesome!  I can't wait to get the call for the surgeon appt.  I hope I don't have to wait long.

I saw my Surgeon a couple of weeks ago and am now booked for my Surgery on February 27th at St Michael's Hospital (Toronto). I have to be on the Optifast for 3 weeks (Approx 100lbs to lose) . For me the Optifast is the scarriest part...lol

just wondering why you have to be on optifast for 3 weeks?  I thought they told us in the nutrition class that you are on it for 1 week for every hundred pounds to lose with a minimum of 2 weeks?  If they tell me three weeks I may have to ask them to put me in a coma and feed me optifast through an intervenous YUUUUUK. 

That's exactly how I felt. The only one I might be able to keep down is the chocolate.

The Surgeon, Dr. Rotstein told me it is better to be on it longer to make sure the liver is out of the way. I am dreading having to drink the stuff.....YUUUCK FOR SURE

I was told with the Optifast that for every 100lbs you weigh it would be 1 week.  So because I weigh over 300 I will be on it for 3 weeks.

Right!  But now im finding out that depending on the doctor they can request you be on for a much longer span of time.  This would not make me happy.  Knowing that i have 100lbs to lose and being on opti for three weeks , that's gotta suck,
