How long did it take you

 Hey everyone!

 I know I;m not alone in this, I know I've lost a lot of weight (140lbs to be exact) but sometimes I just don't see it... Everyone tells me how great I look, but in the mirror sometimes it's just impossible for me to see, all I see is the rolls and stuff

So I wanna know how long did it take you to see and know how much better you look? and truly believe it??
 

I know, for me, it took a long time for my head to catch up to my body. I would even go into a store and buy clothes, take them home and everything would be too big.
This happens to a lot of us so just relax because one day you will look in the mirror and see your thinner self.

i buy the right size clothes, i see the differences, but i still see all my flaws. how big my stomach is, in comparison to the rest of me, i still hate looking at my stomach when i'm naked, and i hate the way it looks in jeans.

that being said, i see what a long way i've come already, and i know i've done very well. I truly believe it, i just am painfully aware of my flaws.

I feel the exact same way... I get that I lost the weight but my head is soo broken

do you believe it when people say you look amazing, or does that little voice in your head say "yeah, in comparison to what i was before, maybe, but i still look awful, in comparison to 'normal' people"

It's that damn little voice! She is just mean! I do understand I look better.. then I used to. But I have the proof in the pictures. I sometimes stare at my side my sides to help it sink in.

she is mean. I'm trying not to listen to her... i try to speak to myself the way my friends would speak to me, and when i can do that, i feel pretty awesome about myself.

 I will fight her for you!! No one messes with George and I's woman!
