I am still forcing myself to take my shakes I don't feel hungry at all still feel bloated and full. I called the centre but am not sure when I will hear back. My day is fairly busy I run a day care and have two children and I try and do aqua fit at least 4 days a week.  I am scared that it is all going to hit me all at once. Has anyone else felt like this?? Not hungry on opti? I am only drinking water in between i don't drink coffee and have not had jello or Popsicle yet.

Sounds like you are too busy to be hungry.  I know before wls, if I was busy, I wouldn't feel hungry either.    When I was on Opti, I wasn't always as busy, but I wasn't hungry, the shakes kept me full. I just had jello as a treat when my family was eating.

Others have sait it's hard to get all 4 in, congrats on doing it.  I wouldn't worry about the not being hungry.  Being busy, and your body starting to change, you may not get hungy.  Just track to be sure you remember to have all 4 shakes.

After about day 7 or so, I have never been physically hungry. Head hunger has been tough.

Good Luck......Dave......

hey nikki
i was on opti for 3 weeks and never did i ever feel hungry nor did i do the popsicle treat!  i did, however, have the broth and maybe had one or two jello!  and of course water!   which is good practice to get into as we're supposed to drink water afterwards as well!  and perhaps i was one of the rare ones.. but i thoroughly enjoyed the vanilla opti with ice and put in the blender!  and at work just cold water and shake shake shake! had the chance to smell the chocolate and returned it to the pharmacy for all vanilla. good luck to you!

at times my tummy growled but only because I think it was bored..... lol I would drown it with water. I had head hunger issues as well but no real tummy hunger. There have been a few times I almost forgot to have my last shake... ONly once did I only have 3.... I was already in bed and half asleep when I remembered about the fourth..... I only have today and tomorrow left for Opti!!! Yippee!!!!
Good luck!!

You may be one of the fortunate ones, but not the only one.

( I don't know how bad your bloating is).
Keep trying to get those shakes in, get up earlier if you need to and spread them out during the day!
You can do this

i WAS NEVER HUNGERY ON OPTI FAST EITHER.
You should be drinking water as well to keep hydrated before surgery.
Be sure you are still having regular Bowel movements. Constipation can be an effect of optifast as well. This may be causing you to feel bloated.
Good Luck!

I am currently on Opti too. My last day will be Monday and I had to be on it for 3 weeks. The first week I was weak with hunger and l was lightheaded. After that I have rarely had hunger pangs. I occasionally will have cukes or green peppers. I must admit I have never felt bloated except once in the beginning. I hope it resolves for you soon!
