I have been walking 2-3 miles most days and today I just kept walking, I wear a watch thingy that monitors my steps calories distance etc, it was about 12000 steps for me.
I will say I was disappointed when I was told I got the vsg instead of the rny, I still think the rny is a better and faster way to lose the weight, maybe faster, comparing myself to others who had the rny, but slow and steady, 54 lbs from my highest weight. I did have a lot of problems with a gastric fistula and 6 weeks in the hospital.
Today I am proud of myself for the changes I have made and continue to make. No more high blood pressure meds, I was taking 9 pills a day for diabetes, and now the diabetes is in remission with no meds needed now.
I was asked when I was still in the hospital if I had any regrets and I did, wish I never heard of wls...today I know it was the right thing to do for me to get healthy.
Yaahoo for me and my vsg.
Thanks for reading, Sue

That is a lot of steps! Including the mental steps to come to terms with your surgery result (VSG). There are lots of people that have slow and steady weight loss, no matter which WLS surgery they have had. I am always thankful when the weight loss happens :)

Congrats on getting off all those meds!!
