Shoot! The honeymoon's over!

Day after tomorrow it'll be 14 months post-op, and to my chagrin, I have now experienced "The Bounce".

And it's my own fault.

I have gained three pounds this week, and it's partially due to lack of exercise (thea heat and the thunderstorms prevented my daily walks) AND
I went to the Mandarin on Tuesday night with some friends.

Oh, and I guess at the cottage on the weekend I probably drank more than I am used to.

So this weekend, I'm going to make an effort to drink more water, eat more protein, exercise more, and journal my intake.

Bad girl.

no negative talk!!!

you are not a bad girl. You happen to be human. We are not "bad" or "good" because of the choices we make. We are human.

You're awesome!!!!

Gaby, your weight is going to fluctuate like that all the time.  Seriously, get used to it.  And 3 pounds ain't gonna kill ya either.

Both Karen and Monica are right on...

The salt at the Mandarin alone would make you gain 3 pounds.....

Try to relax...

I have to agree you are not bad. The good thing is you know why you gained... and you know how to lose!

You can do it!!!

Like the others have said, we are human.
You are no longer a chronic dieter.

I would agree that allowing a 3-5 pound fluctuation is perfectly reasonable. Heck most stuff I've read that is aimed at 'normal weight' people says that 7lb fluctuation is normal.

Treat yourself kindly.

Can't figure out how to paste an image from my profile onto a message, but anyway - I've just posted a shot of what I look like these days, 134 lbs down from surgery weight.

Probably good to realize you CAN gain weight. Hopefully it reinforces all the good habits you've developed. Best wishes !
