9 wks out---Victories!!

 It has been quite an exciting 9 weeks that is for sure. Had RNY on Aug 20 and then a revision on Aug 22 due to a leak. Sent home on Aug. 27 with a Gastrectomy tube. When the Gastrectomy drain was pulled on Sept. 26th, things certainly started picking up. The pain was totally gone, I could feel myself healing everyday!! I started walking longer distances, and this is amazing for me with my arthritis and fibro- I haven't been able to walk far for over 12 years. Last week I did 3.5 kms in one go-phew I was tired but it was incredible.  
I went through my wardrobe and had to get rid of over half my clothes-whoohoo-- had to make a stop a Value Village and get some slacks- am now in a size 20 - from 24- so that is impressive to me- feel awesome with 40 pounds gone for ever- When I think of it I lost my grandson -who weighs 39 pounds- hard to believe I was lugging him around for all those years!!! LOL  I feel more energy and am loving the new recipies I am making. Even my husband is enjoying the new varied diet- so all is wonderful in my world!!
Thanks to everyone who posts, this is my go-to site if I have questions etc- you are all amazing people and have helped me very much though out this process!!

Congrats!  Glad to see that you are moving along nicely.  Buying clothes is awesome as the weight starts coming off.  Enjoy yourself.

lol @ losing your grandsom. I figure that i've lost a "plus size" model, at 130 lbs. lol
