I got my referral

I got my referral to the an OBN faxed Jan 25th. Should I wait a respectable time before I start calling then, and just who do I call? I guess I should wait to get the orientation call. Im going to get my doc to refer me to a sleep clinic, just so I have that out of the way. I am so excited to get things moving. Any advice is appreciated 

Welcome, I called them 5 days after my doctor referred me and good thing I did, they never received it, so I re-faxed it myself and here I am today starting my liquid diet next week:)

So who exactly do you call?  Since your starting liquid diet , does that mean your booked for surgery?

I had the same question!!   My Doctor supposedly sent my referral request last week and I was wondering how long I should wait before I start worrying that it wasn't recieved/sent.

I called Hamilton as that is where all the referrals go!!!! Yes I have my surgery booked for March the 5 th just over 4 mnths from the time of referral to surgery

Reenie, it depends where your referral goes to , as to how long it will take them to respond. I did call 2 weeks after to my center just to ensure they received it. Then I backed off a bit. Also, you may not need a sleep study. I would ask your GP if you need one. I live in Belleville and its 6-12 months wait for a sleep study. I didnt even need one. The test will be determined by your site. Maybe wait unless your GP says you may have apnea.
