Hi ... Try not to worry about it. I had the same issue. Just try to breathe.... keep calm, and think happy thoughts. My heart rate was extremely fast, and their concern was infection, leaks ect, as I guess a high heart rate can be associated with those. Dont get all worked up as this will make your heart rate go faster as well, the anxiety you feel doesnt help. And thats exackly what mine was.. anxiety. Keeping you in my thoughts

Thank you everyone!

My most recent heart rate was reading 105 which was better considering it was around 120 right after surgery. I do suffer from anxiety a nd I know thats the main cause of it. Not to mention it doesnt help being in a hospital! I saw dr. Hagen yesterday and he said he doesnt think its a leak because I would be feeling nauseous have a fever etc and my heart rate would be around 130-140 ish..I'm eating fine and everything is staying down. So I have a feeling its just my anxiety. I just wanna go to my own bed  :( i know im not dehydrated because they just took me off iv yesterday. Ive been having ice chips as often as I can. Im also peeing fine..I havent had a boeel movement yet but they said thats normal. I am passing gas through both ends. Honestly what hurts the most is the horrible muscle aches in my upper back and neck! What the heck do they do to you in surgery?! Throw you around like a rag doll?!

Anywho..just trying to give you as much info as I can at the moment. Thanks you all for reassuring me about the heart rate. I was starting to think that I came in with one problem and am leaving with another.
