Good morning everyone.  Today I'm off to swimming (the instructor really worked us hard yesterday, and she is back today, yay) more weeding, laundry and house cleaning.  I slept like a rock for 9 hours last night, not like me at all.

8 weeks post-op

B. Chike coffee before swimming

S. Small egg scrambled with habanero cheese, and fresh salsa

L. Roasted mushroom soup, turkey rollup with Laughing cow jalapeno cheese inside

S. Syntrax fuzzy navel protein shake

D.  Turkey spinach meatball with 1/4 cup whole wheat pasta, marinara

S. Baked 1/4 apple with cinnamon and Greek yogurt on top

Woke up earlier than usual because I could not breathe with my cpap on, my nose is so congested. So I have a cold and sore throat, feel awful.  This is my first cold since surgery 4.5 weeks ago. Normally I would take crushed raw garlic in broth and other foods and the cold was gone within a day. Has anyone tried this after surgery, and if so, does it still work? Any other tips would be appreciated too.

4.5 weeks post-op (with a cold)

b - premier protein shake, multivitamin, double b12

s - crushed raw garlic in broth, calcium

l - mushroom soup with plain protein powder, crushed garlic

s - crushed raw garlic in broth, calcium

d - 4 extra lean meatballs, marzano crushed tomatoes, crushed raw garlic

s - crushed raw garlic in broth, calcium

before bed: meds, omega, vit d

Good morning all. I am having trying to get going this morning. I am definitely going to be late for work. I think I am also just too tired to bike to work today. I will try to get some walking in. It is amazing how guilty I feel when I do not exercise. Off to TWH tonight to hear a talk on exercise.

I am off today so just hanging out and walking with the dog. DH is home but sleeping most of the day as he is working night shift this week.

B- Small banana w/ 1 tbs PB 1 tex mex egg muffin, coffee

S- 1 cup protein shake, 1/3 cup tomato, cuke, avacodo salad w/ LF greek dressing

L- Spicy Peanut Satay tuna w/ 3 melbas, 1/3 cup of snack salad

S- tea

D- 1 cup Homemade chicken pot pie minus the crust, so really it is chicken stew..lol

S-1/2 cup FF cottage cheese w/ 2 tbs Mary Jane (Hemp hearts)

Zizzler, it is CloverLeaf brand, comes in an 85 gram can. I usually get it at Walmart or Superstore.

Morning all :)

That baked apple sounds awesome - great idea! Had a great time at cawfee night, so great to see everyone looking so well and happy. Really busy day yesterday = quieter day today - house stuff, garden stuff, and I have to start working at my computer station recording time intervals that I am able to sit and work (ability to sit at a desk, ability to concentrate on written tasks, etc.) for my return to work (not sure when, but hopefully sooner than later - I am longing to "get back to life" now). Pretty sure Andrew is coming for dinner too.

8.5 years post-op

- coffee with cream x 3 over the morning -

B - Source Greek 50, Premier protein shake

S - crustless quiche (1.5 egg, cheese/ham/veggie)

L - homemade chicken/vegetable soup (1 cup), 1 melba toast with old cheddar on top

S - Chike protein iced coffee, later: handful of grapes, a few cashews

D - 1.5 cups chicken/veggie soup, 2 melba toast with old cheddar on top

S - not sure yet!
