Houston area or Mexico vsg recommendations

My insurance only covers 50% after my 2500 deductible so I may be better off financially to self pay. Who do you recommend or any advise you can offer?

I have no recommendations as I am not from the Houston area nor have research doctors in Mexico. You might want to check the VSG and Mexico forums.
My advice make a list of pros and cons so you are looking at the whole picture and not just financially. I know that plays a big part but be sure to consider access to aftercare, possible complications etc.
