SHAKES FOR AFTER SURGERY!

Hello everyone i will be having my vsg april 15th or 16th and since im doing it abroad i need to take with me the shakes that i will need. I asked my doctor what i should take and he said glucerna shakes (powder) or anything along the line, aside from crystal light. My question is which is the best protien shake for post op patients, i know theres a bunch out there but narrowing it down would be extremly helpful. thank you all,

I really like the taste of premier protein shakes (chocolate). I get them at Costco.

5 g carb (3 g fiber)

Good luck on your surgery!  If you go to the Premier Nutrition website and ask for samples they will send you two of each (chocolate and vanilla). 

My favorite kind in Designer's Whey Chocolate.  There is a website called:  www.theworldaccordingtoeggface.com.  The woman who runs the site had RNY and has recipes for TONS of shakes.  You won't get sick of them with her recipes!

I have been drinking Jay Robb pina colada flavor.  IT TASTES AMAZING.  Added  bonus is that it has no sugar or artifical sweetner in it.  I found it at the local GNC but placed a big order online since it is free shipping and I googled a 15% off coupon code that worked.  He also makes egg protein but I've never tried that, only the whey.  Here is the site if you want to check out all the flavors.  I've had the pina colada, vanilla, and tropical dreamsicle and they were all good.  Pina colada is my fav tho.  I mix with milk, but you can mix with anything.

If you can find it in your area Jillian Micheals are good to take along.  I really like the chocolate.  I used these whenever I am out and about or just at home.  Good luck!
