OK, I have seen quite a lot of posts on the hair loss that is quite common 3-4 months out from surgery and yes I was expecting it, but my hair is getting really thin! For how long does this go on for??? Will I have some hair left??? I would love to hear what your experience has been with this....thank you!

Try Biotin. They come in 1000cgm tablets. Take three a day. They are cheap and easy to swallow. You can find them at Target in the supplement section. This is what the Oncologist I work for recommend for Chemo patients experiencing hair loss.

as I attended my pre-op support groups, I heard many people say they experienced that.  Some said they experienced it because they were lacking in Vitamins which were required, some said they took 10,000mcg of Biotin and it helped and others said keeping their protein around 130mg per day helped.  I do all of them because I didn't want to chance it.  So I take the Calcium vitamins regularly, I take 2 of the Nature's Bounty Biotin 5,000 mcg (little, easy to swallow tabs) and I keep my protein up.  Hope this helps...
