My new Tattoo! Pics!

I finally got my new tattoo last night!  I love it and think it looks great.  I'd been thinking about it for a while and actually had an appointment for over a month ago, but the guy was sick and had to cancel.  Since I was going to be going to a waterpark a week ago, I had to schedule the new tattoo for after swimming because you should wait three weeks before swimming.  It was good though because the first time I was going to go by myself, but this time I had a friend with me.

I was really nervous at first, I had a small rose blossom on that ankle already, and was worried about getting my whole foot done.  But once he drew it on there in pen I knew I was going to like it.  And I like how he incorporated the old tatto with the new one.  I wanted them to blend in, and I think he did a good job at that.  It took about an hour to do the tattoo and it HURT!!!!  But you know what they say, "No pain, no gain."  Today it just is a tiny bit stingy, like a mild sunburn.  I'm washing it with anti-bacterial soap every few hours and then putting triple antibacterial ointment on it for the first three days.  After that I should use non-scented lotion for a while.  They said that scented lotion has alcohol to make it smell more.

Anyway, I can't stop looking at it today!!

Looks great! I have a large needle, thread, and thimble on the top of my foot - took three hours and hurt like hell!

That sounds cool!  You should post a picture of it!

Do you sew?

I don't, my grandmother was a seamstress and I got it for her when she passed away. My brother and I called her Mim - I was able to incorporate her name coming off the end of the thread :)

the new tattoo is beautiful. I am only 7 weeks out but i have been wanting another tattoo for over 10 years.  unfortunately, my figure did not lend itself and still has some work to go before I can take the plunge.  Now that i have seen lots of feet I am beginning to consider that as well.  I am a teacher so whatever I choose I want to make sure it can be covered during the school days.
