Can anyone tell me the reason you get shoulder pain when you have a leak? Just curious and can't seem to find much info on it.

Hmmm...not sure either, but I know shoulder pain can also be from the gas they use during surgery.  As with most things the symptoms of a leak can differ from person to person, so gonna guess not everyone would experience shoulder pain.

Usually it's referred shoulder pain from abdominal swelling/infection pushing on your diaphragm. Since the diaphragm can not "feel" pain, it's referred and the pain shoots up into the shoulder/collarbone area or around to the back/shoulderblade area. It's very common with band patients and band positioning, gallbladder inflammation can cause the same symtpoms. I had a leak and had zero shoulder pain. All of my pain was in my abdomen. I was rushed to surgery to repair it so it didn't have time to go anywhere else.
