I am wondering how do you know if your in a stall or just a slow loser.

i'm 46 7weeks out (sat is 8 weeks) lost 31lbs since surgery with a goal of 100lbs
but the scale hasnt gone down much since week 4. i lost 6 lbs between week 5 and 6 and nothing since last mon. I am not freaking out or down or anything just trying to figure it out.
I do eat 50-65 gr of protien a day 400-800 calories (per my nut and surgeon dont count carbs but no more then 15gr of sugar over a day) i get both moderate and vigouros excerise (depending on the day) 4-6 days a week, and had and have no (thats ZERO) health issues. And i drink at leats 64oz of h20 ususally more.

Any info and or advise would be awsome ... thx

A stall is when the scale doesn't move at all. I was 291 for 5 weeks everyday. That's not slow weight loss.

when your stall was over did you have a significant drop?  i know over all i am lucky but 5lbs in a 3week period of time would normally be fine but it seems after this surgery expectations are so heightened and nothing is enough.  Its enough to drive ya nuts

I did not lose a huge amount until I figured out what my issue was and just like the next responder wrote...PROTEIN!  If I'm doing a protein shake daily I lose two pounds a day even thru my TOM. No protein shake no weight loss my body has made that the official rule.

What protein shake do you use? Also, can you share your calorie, carb and protein gram intake per day! Thanks!

I'm pre-op so take this with a grain of salt, but to me your protein seems low. My clinic pushes for us to try and get as close to 80g.  Maybe if you try getting more protein it might help move things along.

I am 6 weeks out today and have lost 23 lbs - only 2 lbs in the last 2 weeks. My goal is to lose 70 lbs and I have multiple health issues including hypothyroidism and PCOS so I expected to lose slow. It is hard though to watch others losing so fast. Hopefully a year from now we will be smiling at how much we have lost!

I am a slow loser also and have only lost 4 pounds since week 3/4. I have noticed if I get closer to 800 cals per day instead of 600 I lose a little quicker. Also, I slowed down abunch when I went into the solid food stage at 4 weeks. I was losing pretty quickly during the liquid stage but am not now. I also have been getting 80-90 grams protein daily and it hasn't changed my loss much..still slow. I am going to exclude beef jerky (sodium) for a week and see if that helps. I feel bloated! I hate it that it takes forever to figure my body out.
