I know I'm only 4 days post-op, but I am chomping at the bit to start exercising! How long before you all were cleared to start working out?

My doc =
- walk immediately, as much as you can
- wait to lift weights until 6 weeks out
- wait for the pool / swimming until 8 weeks out.

I've got another wee****il I can go.back to.body pump....can't wait!

No time like the present!! Start walking today but wait to do anything else until your surgeon clears you in a follow up appointment.

I finally started using that treadmill I bought myself last Christmas! Walking is good. Doing about 1 hour a day in 5-10 min. increments spread throughout the day.  I'm also working my arms with a 3 lb weight a little bit when I'm just sitting around watching TV.  My weight limit is 10 lbs. so I'm well under it and I'm not execising my stomach muscles.

I plan on going back to arthritis aqua aerobics and heavyweight yoga as soon as the doc clears me.
