8 weeks to go!
It seems like the only way that I can make this seem real is by counting down the time until I have the surgery. Maybe it would seem more real if I had met my doctor, or his staff, by now?
Anyways, I have six weeks to go until my preop diet... technically 7 weeks, but I want to start it a week early so that I get more out of it.
My goal for this week: Avoid fast food restaurants at all cost. I know that, later on, I will be able to eat fast food again, and it may even be necessary during the preop low-carb diet (not a liquid diet like some docs use), but right now I need to try and break my dependancy on carbs, and I don't trust myself to go into McDonald's and not order fries right now.
Is that bad? I have read that, once you eat lower amounts of carbs for a few days, the cravings go away. I'm hoping I can cut them out now.
I guess we'll see!
