OK...this survey is posted on CNN.  Would anyone have done this before surgery?  I don't think I would have, as I would be conscious of the calories; HOWEVER, I could easily (and probably have) eaten 6,000 in a one-hour period.

Would anyone?

Probably have eaten 6000 calories in a one hour period if the food was calorie dense enough. Not often, but when I see now the calories some things have...

I've split a Bloomin Onion at Outback with one person, followed by the Bloomin' Burger & Fries and a Chocolate Thunder from Down Under. Plus a lot of that yummy bread they give you coated heavily with the honey butter. That's about 4500 calories right there.

I know I ate 5000+ calories in one sitting before VSG.  It was literally hard for me to feel full.  My stomach must have been huge!

I'm with you on this.  It scares me now to see just how much I ate in a day.  I could out-eat anyone.  I never felt full so I kept on eating.  The last bite was as good as the first!!!

Maybe not a single hamburger - but I am sure I had some pretty close calls with the number before surgery.  Probably left it in the dust a few times.

Don't eat meat but I know I've probably eaten that amount in an hour before surgery.

I almost never felt full either, and my surgeon told me my stomach was abnormally large. I'd been on liquids for three weeks and it was still super big, he seemed to think it was a genetic thing.
