11 days post op (itchy stomach)

Has anyone had a itchy stomach? I am 11 day post op and my stomach is so itchy.
I am going to put in a call tomorrow but I thought I would ask today...

 1 of my 3 incisions was really really itchy for a while. When the steri strips finally fell off, I could see that there was a tiny bit of puss buildup. Quick call to my doctor and he said that might have been causing the itching. I sent him a cell phone pic of the site and he said to keep it clean, put antibiotic ointment on it and watch it over the weekend. By today, its not itchy anymore and no more puss buildup.

I think its a good idea to ask the doc just to be safe. 

itching is a part of the healing process, unfortunately... and the tape residue on the skin (that I still haven't gotten off @ 10 days out) doesn't help!

I take Benedryl sumtimes... it helps a little :-)

 The tape that was on me was making my skin turn red and break out in a rash.  So yes I was very itchy.

 I used Vit. E on all my incisions after they closed up (not before) and it helped keep down the itch and speed healing.  As for tape residue I had to use Goo Gone.  I put it on about 5min. before a shower, let it sit and then washed everything away.

My itchy stomach almost drove me crazy!!! LOL but it will pass...it lasted a few weeks for me and it was not even on the incisions it was just across the bottom of my stomach--but it eventually went away--i would advise putting some really good lotion on..
