Easy Brusing after surgery?

Has anyone else started bruising easily after surgery? I have no idea what I'm bumping into but my legs look like I was beat up....and it's almost summer so I want to be able to wear capris, shorts, dresses but not with these legs! Anything out there to help it?

Thanks,
Michelle

It was really bad for me around 3-4 months out. I still bruise easily, but they aren't nearly as dark or large as they were. I upped my b-12. I have no idea if that actually worked, as it could just be time/other factors. It's what my searches on Google said I ought to do, so take that as you will.

The same happened to me.  It reached it's worst around 6 months post op, but has gotten better since.  I wasn't even bumping into stuff and I was having bruises from nothing (so it seemed anyway).  I have no idea why.

Yes - I find it very strange! I have heard of taking Vitamin B as well so that's what I'm going to start tomorrow but it's odd - and embarassing! First off needing to feel comfortable enough in a swimsuit then on top of that worrying what people must think of my big bruises. I guess I can just say I'm a rollergirl. LOL!

Arnica - from the health food store keeps the bruising down.

Well, with all of us having similar symptoms it has to be related to the surgery and something we are lacking. I'm going to message my surgeon and see what he says. I forgot to bring it up in my 3 month check up last month.

Im 4 months post op. I have a lot of bruising on my legs and Petechiae on my forearms, which are purplish colored spots from bleeding under the skin. Im an RN so I know this indicates a low platelet count. Ive upped my B vitamins. Vitamin K increases clotting but you have to be careful. You dont want your blood too thick. Im almost due for blood work so Im going to have my surgeon add a PT/INR which shows how your blood is clotting
