Thought I'd add a bit of peanut butter into the Magic Bullet to my Nectar chocolate shake last night.

I put it in my pretty wine glass (yeah I do that lol ;) and the first couple sips were heaven.  Then when it hit my sleeve (Gollum) he was highly offended and disgusted.  I didn't throw up but he howled and gurgled in protest and I laid on the couch like a lump the rest of the night.

Even this morning when I went to make my shake I was still grossed out.  Kind of like when you have a bad food experience and you avoid that food for a year.  I don't have that option with protein shakes right now.  Yuck.

On the other hand, all he wants is instant grits.  Hadn't had grits for 2yrs, all of a sudden II'm craving grits all the time.  I know, carby but I make them with water and no calorie butter spray.  What a weird craving!  Gollum want grits, my precious!  More grits!

Becareful... I haven't even had surgery yet but I have been doing a ton of research.   I don't know what your surgeon's post op diet is.  But penut butter is not a liquid you you are likely still in the liquid phase.  Do not try things to soon.  I have read that it's possible for ppl create a leak by adding food you shouldn't have too soon!  PB is probably on the soft food phase.  I hope you feel better.  Don't worry you likely you did no damage but there is a reason that the doctors have a strict post op diet.  Take care.

You are right, I won't be doing it again. But it was just a tiny bit for flavor and put in the blender and liquified. You're right though. I know now that it was a bad idea.

I'd probably try to do the same thing knowing it's bad cause I'd be dying for some taste.  lol  And actually PB in a chocolate smoothy sounds really good to a normal stomach.  Probably a awesome idea once your on the soft foods phase. :-)
Anyway you know the saying "Do as I say not as I do"  :-)  Take care.

BWAHAHAHA! Can I tell you how much you crack me up when referring to your sleeve as Gollum! All I get in my head is this picture of him residing in your belly and saying "the precious! the precious!"

Love getting a good laugh on this all liquid shakes during my pre-op day lol

Oh you wait til you get yours!

It's a grouchy little grinch but apparently that's what I need since my happy, fat tummy and I got along great (she never said no to me

So far he's more bark than bite, but I don't pu**** I know he can make good on his threats and I don't think I'd like him when he's angry.

I'm going to change my profile pic to Gollum but I don't know how to do it from my phone.

Peanut Butter is ok if you mixed it in and made it liquidy, BTW. My sleeves name is Tommy the Tummy :)

So I have a question, did it make you feel sick, or just gurgly? because gurgly is kinda normal from now on..

No it was a sick feeling.  There were gurgles but they were unhappy gurgles, not the everyday kind.

Oh ok. It might have had to much sugar in it?

Have you tried PB2?  I don't even use a full 2TB serving - more like a 1/2 TB and I still get that flavor.  It's awesome, and my sleeve seems to like it a lot.
