I'm really craving white wheat products

I'm pushing through this craving.  We were in NYC last weekend, so I had a few things I normally wouldn't, like a bite of my dd's pizza, three fork-fulls of pasta and 1/4 of a bagel.  I guess this is what triggered it.  Or maybe I would have felt this way anyway.  I dunno.

Last night I was in bed and was genuinely hungry b/c I hadn't eaten much yesterday.  (Too busy cleaning out my closet of the all the size 20 and 22's. :) ) I was thinking about what I wanted to eat and two things came to mind: saltine crackers and Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. 

I don't have either of these in the house, so I wasn't at risk of eating them.  But I found it odd that when I stopped to think through my urges, that is what I came up with that seemed like it would be satisfying. 

Anyway, I ate some cheese instead with two Trisket crackers.  Fortunately, that did it for me.

Tonight I'm going to make some egg salad to have on hand.  It seems to be a good way to get protien in and is readily available when I realize I've gone too long without eating.

 It's funny how that happens.  I am on an airplane right now, I am bathed in the smell of peanuts and I swear someone has a McDonalds Sausage biscuit - I can smell it.

Im not hungry but all of this is making me feel hungry!

Good job pushing through the craving and developing a strategy for te future!

 Yep, right there with y'all!  I went to a casino this weekend and wa**** with Panda Express right when I walked in. It was very hard because normally when I go (which is like once a year) I like to eat, smoke, and, drink. I played black jack the whole night drinking unsweet tea and had a blast. No food or smokes which was a huge accomplishment!

Sounds like you are going thru a carb withdrawal. This is exactly why I need to avoid carbs like that because once I eat a little, I want more.
Good for you for resisting the temptation. We just gotta keep getting back on track and it sounds like you did just that.

I have to have some "go to" foods around - things I can't do too much damage with.  I also like Starkist's prepackaged tuna salad.  You're doing great!!

out of all the things you mentioned your "egg salad" sounds the best :-)
Of course I am still on liquids and looking forward to soft foods. I might have to make a soft version of egg salad when the time comes.

But yes, I have noticed how "smells" around can trigger the nose and the brain even though the tummy is fine!
