Is it me or does anyone else have extreme itching, post-op? Well, it's not just me. I was sleeved 6/13 and started itching 1 week post op. My wife was sleeved 6/20 and now I notice here itching. And no, it's not fleas or any other insects, as we're the only ones itching. DOES ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS ISSUE????

About 5 days post op I got a rash all across my stomach. I think it was a heat rash from the binder. I used hydrocortizone on it and it went away.

You could be allergic to the pain meds ... It will do that!!

I had itching because of the pain meds. As soon as I stopped the meds and switched to tylenol I was fine.

I had major itching on my abdomen for several days.  I called my doctor and he thought it might be an allergic reaction to the abdominal binder.  So I stopped using it and got some Benadryl cream.  That helped quite a bit but I'm still dealing with it a bit.

Yes, I was very itchy and it wasn't from pain meds.  I wasn't
taking any pain meds.  I thought I was going to scratch all
my skin off across my adbomen and chest.  I did notice my
skin was extremely dry.  It slowly. but surely settled down.
Good luck with that. I know it is annoying to deal with.

I had itching too and was told it was from the anesthesia which actually take a full month to get out of your body.  My brother had itching too after his appendectomy!

9 days post op, I had red welts around ea*****ision that itched like crazy - some kind
of allergic reaction, but to what, who knows.  The first guess would be the glue
on the incisions, but it had pretty much flaked off by then, and why would it take
9 days to react?   Anyway,  it was horrible, but it went away in 2 days.

I was itchy immediately post-op, as were most of my sleeve-date-buddies.  We were told it was a reaction to the morphine used in the spinal block.  It went away after 3 days.

Incisions are fine. Haven't taken pain meds post op. I'm itching from head to toe. Scratching to the point of breaking skin, sometimes. I'm going to have to find a "Plan-B".
