How long does pain/discomfort last?

My sis and I are both 12 days out and I have no pain at all, just very occasional mild pulling where the drain was. My sis, however is still taking pain Meds and is always uncomfortable. She says it's like having a constant stitch in your left side. She's a bit concerned. Should she be? I suggested she send a note to Gaby, our aftercare person, but thought I'd ask here in the meantime.

Tell her to go ahead and email Gaby. My experience has always been that Gaby emails me back pretty much immediately... no matter what day of the week it is, etc.

However, that incision was the one area that gave me any trouble after surgery. I kept telling Dr. Aceves that it was bothering me in the hospital, and he just kept reassuring me that it was normal.

I think I was about two weeks out when that incision really quit bothering me. It was about the same time that I noticed my swelling was improving.
