When did you have your surgery?

If you arent sleeved yet, and your nutritionist hasn't given you instructions you can eat like normal. If you are told to be on a certain pre op diet from the nutritionist, you need to follow that diet. If you are not sure you should call the nutritionist even though your appointment isnt until the 5th you can still call.

Call you call your doctors office and ask about your preop diet? When I had my preop they gave me a list I had to follow...

Who is your Doctor?

Why would they send you to a random website for guidance? Aren't you paying the dr and nut for sound medical advice?

If you want to know what to eat then google -vertical sleeve guide, there are guides from John Hopkins, Cornell, kaiser and others online. The guides are detailed and also list the protein requirements and vitamins you should take. Print it and refer to it as it will help you along the way.

What does your pre op diet consist of and how far out are you from surgery? are you scheduled yet? if you aren't scheduled yet then you probably are not on the Pre-Op diet as we refer to it. You might be on the weight loss diet stage where you just have to watch what you eat and lose a few pounds to get approved for surgery.

So are you at the weight loss diet stage or the Pre-Op (already have a date for surgery) diet?

HW: 235, SW: 227, CW: 152.0, 83 lbs lost since 10/22/12 --Fear less, hope more, eat less, chew more, whine less, breathe more, talk less, say more, hate less, love more, and good things will be yours.

Then you could have turkey!Other meats of course such as a roast, also you could have some green beans or other veggies. But you need to avoid stuffing, yams, pumpkin pie, mashed potatoes, etc.
