WLS and gallstones?

I had surgery 12/4. Last night I bumped up my liquid diet schedule and woke up at 4 a.m. throwing up blood and dirreah. Been in the ER since 4:30 am. They think it may be gall stones since there was no sign of leak in sleeve. Anyone have similar issue?

I had surgery on 12/7 and was put on ursodiol twice a day for 6 months because the Dr said VSG increases the chances of gallstones. Thats my only experience, sorry your dealing with this.

Hope you feel better soon.

I will have a better idea tomorrow when they do further testing for gall stones. The hospital (HEB) wanted to send me to Foest Park, but there were no beds.
Thanks for your concern.

the weight loss courses the gall stones not the sleeve , they take more than 1 week to form, but if you lost alot of weight pre op that can do it for some people,

they can probably take out you gall bladder through the same holes as you sleeve was done

Gosh I hope so. My incisions are twice as big because of the revision surgery. I had 36 staples.

Had my VSG in August, and had my gall bladder removed due to stones two weeks ago. Gall bladder issues are pretty common for folks that lose a lot of weight quickly.
