Pre-op done!! Surgery in 6 days 7 hours

My surgeon is requiring a 1 week pre-op diet which they require to be Bariatric Advantage. I get 3 shakes, 2 soup and 1 bar a day. I have to say I really like the vegetable soup. Yum! The Orange cream is yuck, but I may be able to work with it. I have a chocolate in the freezer getting nice and cold. It didn't taste bad. My doctor said I'm going to feel like crap the 1st few days, but it will pass. I had a upper GI this morning. The white chalky drink stuff was awful. A couple times I thought I was going to lose it all over that table.

I have my pamphlets in front of me that I am about to read. They give a little info on post-op diet, but don't go into a lot of detail until you are ready to start the next stage. Then they give you the breakdown when you come in for a follow up appointment.

I am so ready and so excited!!

Also, just found out my doctors office has a monthly support group!! It is facilitated by an R.N. who is certified in Bariatrics! Yay!!

I dont want to scare you, just prepare you but...
If you thought the white chalky stuff is bad, just wIt for the lovely stuff you get post op to check for holes...

I was thinking the same thing. that stuff is horrible when you have had nothing for 36z+/- hours.

Otherwise best of luck to you. The first few days will not be great BUT it will get better and we are all here for you!
