Vets...anybody? Small amount of protein worth the carb count?

Gladiator shakes have 45g of protein and 2 carbs- sold at smoothie king.

Hood makes this line called calorie countdown. It is a milk. I typically use their chocolate milk to make my shakes it is 80 cal 6 g carb 4g sugar and 6g protein. The fat free is 35 cal 3g of carbs and 4g of sugar. they also have a reduced fat but I don't know its numbers.

I wish we had Hood carb countdown milk here in NE Ohio!

26 carbs are not bad. especially this early out. My aim is 20-40 per day. I think the added protein is a must this early out! Maybe help later with hair loss.....I am currently experiencing this and wondering if added protein early on would of made a difference!

or how about do half water/half milk? Almond milk is a good choice but not as high in protein. Also add a but more powder like Elina said. try to aim for a shake that is 30 g of protein per serving if you can. That is why I drink RTD Premier protein shakes. I also found they sit better on my new tummy than powdered stuff.

I have been making my shakes 6 oz. (4 oz milk, 2 oz water). That carb countdown sounds decent. I definitely am taking Elina's advise about adding extra powder. Makes perfect sense to me.

Regular milk also has bio available calcium and B12, so don't count it out if you don't have to.

I'm not entirely right now. I am working out of sample packs so I don't have extra powder to add so I will use the mil****il I start getting the tubs in.

So Delicious now makes an almond milk with 5X the protein. It has 40 cal, 1 carb and 5 gr protein.

I don't think at 1 week out you really have to worry about a few extra carbs  and in the next few weeks the protein shakes will be replaced by real food like fish , meat that are low in carbs , the extra protein is more important that a very few extra carbs

I was thinking that too. In 2 weeks I will be on mushies and will only be supplementing with a shake or 2 (I hope).
