VSG on 03/05/13 with

MY IRON IS LOW.. WAS SUPPOSSED TO TAKE IRON PILLS. BUT ITMADE IT HARD TO GO.. MY SURGERY IS ON MARCH 5TH.. DID MY PRE-OP LABS TODAY... DO YOU THINK I CAN STILL HAVE MY SURGERY

I would think you would be okay but I'd suggest taking your iron again immediately.  When iron is low you get fatigued easily so you definitely want to get it up since you will be plenty fatigued already from surgery.

Take your iron now!  Otherwise you will bruise very easily and feel like crap (LOL, even if you can't actually crap!).

I use iron carbonyl, which is easier on your stomach (vitalady or amazon.com) AND I mix Miralax into my KoolAid or other drinks throughout the day.  After surgery, being on a high protein diet will also likely constipate you -- so you'll need to find something to help you go!
