Dr. Pro Surgery!!!!! ASAP

Hello everyone! I'm almost done with everything but I need a primary physician in the ATlanta, GA area who takes medicaid and is pro weightloss surgery. I've tried two different Dr.'s and neither of them did what they say they would! It's almost a year later and I still don't have the last thing which is a letter of medical necessity! I need this before all my program stuff needs to be done over i.e psych evaluation etc. please help!!!!! Even if he or she doesn't take Medicaid. Thx Lee

Could your gyno provide the letter?  Not sure - just asking and if you aren't sure you may want to look into it!

I second checking the the gyno if possible.  My PCP is totally against WLS but my gyno thinks it is a great idea.

Did you follow up with the 2 docs you saw? Like call the office to remind them or call and say I'll be by on such and such date to pick up my letter. Even my PCP that I saw for 6 yrs had to be prodded not that he wasn't pro surgery just that they get so busy with all their patients that if you don't bug 'em they forget. Maybe write them a letter to remind them then they have the paper there to keep it n their mind.

I am done except for a PCP clearance! I have to find one ASAP also. I will be seeing multiple Drs until I get one!!!!
