OK, I'm a newbie.....having sleeve this Friday, 21st.  I keep seeing everyone talk about different things that I have no idea what they are referring to and where you buy them.  I keep seeing advertisements pop up here for Unjury (?)  Can you only buy that online and what is it a protein drink?   Here are my questions:

1.  What is Unjury~  where do you get it?

2.  What is PBZ Powder~ where do you get it?

3.  Why does my coffee/tea have to be decaf?  do these count as my daily fluids?

Thank You!!

1. As far as I know, Unjury can be purchased online from their website. It is a protein powder.

2. It's PB2, and its like dried peanut butter. People add it to their shakes. You can get it at Target and most grocery stores.

3. Yes they count as fluids. Not sure why they should be decaf. My surgeon said caffeine was okay.

I was told by my dietitian that caffeine can dry your system out, that's why we were told to drink decaf. I know decaf has little caffeine, but know as much as regular coffee/tea, etc.. When we drink and/or eat something that has caffeine (regular and/or decaf) in it and we have to drink water so we can prevent our system from going dry and don't become constipated.

PB2 is also at Walmart and I mix it with water to make peanut butter. Check out mybariatricpantry.com they have good prices for different protein powders and sample packs too. Don't know why decaf but mix chocolate protein powder, cool coffee, soy milk and ice in the blender for a frozen treat!

i was told caffeine is a diuretic and will dehydrate you, and that is the last thing you need when you are trying to keep fluids in.  I am zero caffeine all together.  Only water and caffeine free teas.
