Did your surgeon not send you home with tons of paperwork for the next 6 months of your life?

I have a book from my NUT and a sheet from the hospital. It says 5-7 days I can move to full liquids well today is that glorious 5th day. So to answer your question yes and no.

Well, if there isn't a list of what is allowed on full liquids I would say give them a call.  I was able to start protein in water during clear liquids, so protein shakes were allowed on full liquids.  But every surgeon is different.

On full liquids I was drinking protein shakes, broth and water.

It's funny, everyone has requirements a little different--that's why it's good to get that list and follow it from your surgeon.  On my full liquids I was allowed creamed soups (that was nice), drinkable yogurt, I like this much better than clear liquids.  Best of luck!

I started adding protein powder to my broth and jello immediately when I got home from the hospital.  When I went to full liquids, I added Greek yogurt, cream soups and sugar-free, fat-free puddings.  Again, I added protein powder where-ever I could.  It was nice to have some diversity.

Good luck with your weight loss journey.  It takes a while to get used to your new tummy, but it slowly gets better.  And the wieght loss is wonderful.
