I only eat green vegetables and they seem to help.  There was a couple of times early on that I ate some oatmeal to get some fiber and that got things moving for me.

Make sure you are getting a lot of water in because that can cause you to get constipation also.

Its really  hard to get enough fiber due to the small amount of volume we can eat, even if we do eat veggies and fruit,  If you are allowed try some metamucil or stool softener (I use Senna S)

Things really do get better!

Miralax!!!! Seriously. Not addictive. It just draws water into your colon. You won't eat enough fruit/veg right now to make a difference.

I don't do fruit yet because I'm in weight loss mode but my doctor's office told me Miralax is gentle enough to use every day and your body doesn't get "addicted" to it like other laxatives. I do a half dose every day or every other day and it does the trick.

peal, core and slice a few pears. put the pearts in a pot with 8 ounces water. put heat on high, boil for 5-7 minutes (pears will be tender).
