NSV's all over the place!

I was sleeved on May 27 of this year. So far, I have lost 88 lbs. I was a ginormous 400 lbs so having lost 88 lbs sounds like a lot but is just the beginning (I hope). So I just wanted to share these with some folks that understand,my family and friends don't really get why these things make me happy.

1. Being able to buckle up without a seatbelt extension. I didn't need one in every car, but definitely in my moms Nissan xtrail AKA the little box of frustration.

2. I just bought my first outfit from Walmart. This is a biggie for me. In Canada, if you are extra big, you are essentially limited to one store, Penningtons. Their clothes are ok but kinda cheaply made and definitely expensive. So, being able to buy a couple outfits for les than 50 bucks was fabulous!

3. I had to move the seat up in the car. That has literally never happened before....like ever.

There are other things of course, but these are some of the small annoying things I hate so much about being fat. I love how much control my sleeve gives me and how it has changed my entire approach and view of food/ eating. If i had known how great this surgery is, I would have done it years ago. :)

Congratulations on your weight loss and NSV's.  I was 385 when I started the wls process, so I know how it feels to have so much to lose,  but I also know how good it feels to be down so much in weight.  Congratulations!  and It only gets better.  I think the smaller clothing sizes are the best NSV's.  They make the loss seem more real.

best wishes,

Carol
