Acid Reflux

I never had acid reflux before surgery. Now I am in terrible pain from reflux everytime I eat or even sip water.

If you're not on a PPI, please call your doctor and insist they call you in a prescription asap. I sympathize totally - I never had reflux before surgery either but afterwards it was HORRIBLE. Protonix is what I take and it works like a charm. One pill a day.

The same thing happened to me. I called the surgeon and they called in Protonix immediately. 24 hours later I felt better.

For those of you on a PPI, do you have a capsule or tablet? I was on one prior to surgery. My doc said I could take one after, but it's capsule and I didn't know if that matters. He told me I could do over the counter as well....so not sure what I'm going to do yet.
