need information
I am on dilantin and was considering a rny surgery
but was at hospital yesterday and found out my liver and dilantin levels are way to high
I had cut out cafferine and sugar in my diet so now I am worried that I wont beable to have the surgery as the doctor said my body didnt like alll the changes and I am scared
You might want to post this on the RNY board if that is what you are still considering. Even if you weren't on dlantin, it is good you are cutting out the sugar and for the most part I can't stomach caffiene anymore. Cutting these two things out no matter what surgery you go with will help you in the long run.
Good Luck!
Well of course, I am biased, I think the sleeve is wonderful and I didn't have to have my insides rerouted nor have to take vitamins due to malabsorption. I do take vitamins to remain healthy though. With the exception of having smaller meals, I am the same as I was before the surgery except for being much more healthy. I am off all prescription medications and have been released from all of my doctors. I can eat anything I want without side affects but I also choose to eat healthier and stay away from certain foods that are not wise choices for me.
I don't have any advice about your specific medical needs, but if it is the sleeve you are worried about- rest easy! It is an awesome choice with fantastic results!
