Survivor Type

Anybody out there ever read the story Survivor Type by Stephen King, where the guy gets stranded on an island and eats his own body parts to survive? That's my mindset on completion of day two of this pre-op diet. I am so hungry and all I want to do is sleep so I don't have to feel the pangs. I refuse to cheat and I refuse to give up, but this sucks.

Thank you for letting me vent and whine. I feel better knowing we have all been through this!

That actually made me laugh out loud. :) I'm not quite there yet. I start my pre-op diet on the 21st. I'm basically planning on clearing out every single food item in my house except for what I can have. Being at home isn't really scaring me though, it's being at work. We have food days CONSTANTLY! Not looking forward to those days when everyone around me gets to eat something delicious and I'm enjoying broth..*silently repeating: it's worth it, it's worth it, it's worth it..* :)

You can do it!

First 3-4 days are terrible as you detox from carbs.  Don't give in though, or it just takes that much longer to detox.  Hang in there, it does get better!

I feel your frustration! I am on day 4 and I wanted to cheat so bad yesterday but I didn't! You can do it! Look at me encouraging you! Lol. I had to be encouraged yesterday by several people on this forum.

Thanks for the encouragement, everybody! Today feels a little better than yesterday. I'm hoping that trend continues!
