Water-Water-Water and more Water... UGH
OK... so another stall, which I understand is normal. I know to try to prevent them or restart the loss, we should up the protein (I get plenty - 60-80grams) and drink MORE water.
I KNOW that is my issue, not enough water but could someone explain to me WHY OH WHY we need so much water. Yuck Yuck Yuck!
It might be easier to answer "what doesn'****er benefit'? Water helps nearly every part of your physical well being. I'm not sure there is a system in your body that doesn't benefit from it in some way.
However, even if that wasn't the case, between the sleeve, well timed meals, and good water consumption, you can shut down all hunger throughout the day. When I'm able to follow my plan (which is most days really) I get zero hunger.
Then there is the metabolism to consider. More water equals higher metabolism rate which equals better calorie burn.
By the way, I have phenomenally smooth skin now as a result of all my water intake post surgery. Just what every guy needs right?

I completely agree with G ^... But I'll add my two cents...
For me, water intake makes a huge difference in weightloss mode. When I don't get enough, I retain water and the scale doesn't move. When I get enough, the scale moves. I think of it like this... When you don't get enough water, your body doesn't know the reason. It doesn't know if you're just not drinking enough, or if you are stranded in a desert somewhere. It just know "Hey, we're not getting enough water and who knows when we will get enough again. Better hold on to whatever we can get!!" When you ARE getting enough, your body says, "Hey, things are all good. Let's use this awesome surplus of water to flush out toxins!" (Sorry for the over-simplified analogy... my background is in education!) Get all the water you can and make note of the scale... Then make note of the scale on the day after a day when you don't hit your water goals. You'll definitely see a trend.

Why do you need so much water? Let's go to science...
Diets high in protein and low in carbs cause kidney stones. Drinking at least 64oz of water helps prevent them.
