NSV's - feeling positive!

So here I am, roughly 16 months out, and I'm feeling a lot more positive about my journey because of NSV's!

This past Saturday, I had a friends 30th birthday party and while I had stuff in my closet to wear, I had to return some items to the Gap and figured let me "look around".  While there, I found this super cute dress but they only had a size 8.  It looked like a large size 8 so I said WTH let me try it on.  Well, the dress went on and it FIT.  It was almost a little too big on the top but I didn't  care.  I felt so excited and happy to buy a  size 8 something in THE GAP of all places that I just had to buy it. 

Today, I'm wearing pants that I recently bought about two-three weeks ago at NY & Co in a size ten and they are actually sort of falling off of me!  When did this happen? I can't even be upset that these are now too big for me because I'm just a happy camper...looks like I could've gotten them in a size 8 too. 

My shape is very strange, I have a small waist but a big 'ol butt and monster thighs.  So usually I would have to buy up a size to accomodate those regions.  Having two pieces of clothing, one being a size 8 and one that should've been a size 8 is MIND boggling.  If my legs/butt were smaller, I might be even smaller than I am now.  This has really opened my eyes that even though my scale isn't budging, I must be doing something right. 

Okay, so maybe these are not your typical size 8/size 10 clothes but who cares, I'm taking it for what it says on the tag! lol  I wanted to share this awesome NSV to help those of us out there who are struggling with weight loss/scale issues.  Sometimes it's not all about the scale.  Sometimes you just gotta keep the faith that you're doing something right and making strides towards a healthier and smaller lifestyle!

Wow!  Way to go!  I'm down to a size 22 or 2X and feeling pretty good about that.  LOL  It's all in our perspective.  Having come from a 5X, I'm starting to feel tiny.  You look awesome!

that's awesome!!! Any achievement is an awesome one, IMO.  We gotta focus on these little changes to keep ourselves motivated to keep going.  and thank you for your kind words!

teehee, thank you :)  I convinced hubby to ditch his glasses and do a Clarke Kent-ish hairstyle.  He was cute before but now he's so dapper! 

Wow.  You look fabulous.  And a size 8!  I can't even imagine me in a size 8, but maybe some day...

It's pretty wild!  I never would've thought I'd be in a size 8 either but the day has come!  Lowest ever size for me...unless when I was like a baby or something haha.
