Post-op appt.

Today was my first post-op appt with my surgeon and Nut. The doctor was impressed with the amount of weight I’ve lost,12lbs in 9 days plus 17lbs during the pre-op diet for a total of 29 ½ lbs. Monday I will be starting phase three of my program, where I can eat some tuna, soft fish, creamed soups and chili. The only thing that needed some attention was the site where the drain was placed, some blood was coming from the incision, so the nurse placed lock strips to keep the incision closed until it’s fully heals. Other than that all went well.

Fantastic! That's an awesome amount of weight to lose in such a short time!  I was so happy to be able to have soft foods. It was ridiculous how much I looked forward to it. Heh

Congratulations!  That's great!  I have my 1 week post-op appointment on Monday.   I'm looking very forward to eating something besides jello and popsicles ;-)   Happy Valentine's Day!

I lost 12 lbs at my 9 day appointment as well! Congrats :) how sad is it that I am really looking forward to a scrambled egg?! Haha can't wait to start the puréed diet on Monday! Keep up the good work!!!!
