PreOp appt. this week. Any questions you wished you asked your surgeon or Must ask...

Hi! My surgery is scheduled for March 10th and I have my pre-op appt. this Thursday. I am the type of person who always has tons of questions in my head, but once I get there all is forgotten. So, I am writing them down now and getting prepared. Is there anything you wish you would have asked and didn't or anything that you were so glad you asked your surgeon? Any answers are greatly appreciated!

What size sleeve is the end goal after surgery?  Every surgeon is different.  And, if you had healing issues in the past after a cut, scrape or any type of surgery....be sure to let them know.   Everyone told me the gas was the worst part after surgery.  For  me, it was the incisions healing....especially the large one...it took four weeks.  My surgeon said they could have done something differently if I had shared this on the front end.  Didn't think about it.

Same date as me! Surgery twins :).  If they haven't said anything to you about a catheter I'd ask if you're having one.  My friend went for one and nothing was said, and she woke up with one!  Not a fun surprise.  I only know I am having a catheter because I asked

Ask about weight loss stalls after surgery.  It'll safe you the panic when it happens to you.
