I have a week and half left of this liquid diet till surgery and I'm so HUNGRY!  I'm trying to stay on track but I keep sneaking a bite of something now and then. I know I need to shrink my liver. Is there any tips anyone can give me to get through this?

I start my liquid diet on Tuesday.  I've been told to take 7 protein shakes (Unjury) + clear liquids per day.  My NUT said that will come to 1200 calories a day.  What kind of liquid diet are you following?  Are you getting enough protein in your shakes?  I may get hungrey as well, but 1200 calories doesn't sound too bad to me yet.  I would suggest you give your NUT a call and see if she has any ideas for you.

I have been on my liquid diet for 8 days and found that as long as I sip my protein shakes all day I stay feeling satisfied

I'm with you. I'm scheduled for the 13th and have a week and 3 days left. I don't mind drinking the protein shakes but I feel hungry in the afternoons. I have grabbed a bite of cheese (literally a single bite from the block) and a piece of cream cheese bagel I cut up for my 2 year old to eat (about 1 inch square), yesterday I ate a handful of nuts. None of the things I ate were very big but some how it told my brain everything was ok- I wasn't going to starve. I'm going to try to do better today and that's all I can do.

I'm on day 7 of my 10 day liquid diet.  It has been tough - after work on weekdays and the weekend were the hardest.

I am getting about 900 calories a day, and just over 100g protein.  I am not crazy hungry, but there is usually a constant little rumble.  I use a combo of GNC total lean ready to drink and iso 100, isopure, and isoflex powders with fair life milk or water.

I think the warm broth is the best for me when I am feeling hungry but it isn't time for another shake.

I suggest trying the fair life milk - it is lower carb higher protein cow's milk - also low lactose.  It bumps up the protein content without adding more calories than regular skim milk.

I am allowed to have SF jello and SF flavored (non carbonated) drinks too - that helps break up the monotony of water and protein shakes.  I have cheated by eating dill pickles, 4 grilled shrimp, and some broccoli and green beans.  My goal is to be cheat-free these last 4 days.

I've lost 10 pounds in 6 days so that is a great reward to keep going.

Good Luck!  Keep going - you are almost there!

I had surgery a week ago so I just recently did the 2 week diet prep.  My instructions were to drink 3 protein shakes a day and a light balanced meal which I saved for dinner.  The shakes I used are Premeir Protein with 30g of protein per shake.  I bet your shakes have less protein and that is why you feel so hungry.
