day 5 postop
Last night i had 2 oz of milk magnesia and 4 oz prune juice with water and this morning had my BM (all though I have been on collese softeners it wasn't helping ) I can't believe I'm posting this discussing stuff but I know a lot of new sleevers have the same question about bm. I feel almost.no pain.. Im actually in day 6 and haven't been on any pain meds since 2nd night. I'm up and about. Made great big diner for my family and watched them eat it as I was drinking my nectar protein drink lol. ..I'm glad the surgery is in the past and my journey is a head !
I am so glad to hear you are doing so well. Congratulations on beginning your weight loss journey. Its an amazing trip!

It's amazing how people react to this surgery in such a variety of ways. I was like you, off pain meds within 3 days, didn't even take the liquid tylenol. I was tired and rested quite a bit, but didn't get any gas pains or anything painful. I was tender on my right side so I did have to sleep on my left side for 10 days or so.
I'm 18 weeks out now and haven't had any major issues. The stool softeners kind of help..but I don't have a full on BM anymore. It's kind of here and there. I use fleet when I haven't gone in a week. Not the best solution but it clears the pipes out. The softeners actually make it harder to expel for me because it doesn't all come out at once. I think it's a thing most people experience though judging by all the constipation posts LOL
Wow, good for you! My roomate in the hospital was like you; no pain meds and very little pain. She only took liquid tylenol after the first day. I, on the other hand, was in a lot of pain the first few days. Took my roxicet like it was going out of style!
It sounds like you're doing a great job. It gets easier every single day, just like everyone here says. At least, it did for me. I wish you nothing but continued success!
