Why are the scales so very different at the surgeon's office compared to my family doctor???

Age of the scale, brand, maintenance and calibration can all make a difference.  Also the time of day and what you're wearing will make a difference.  I'm going by my scale at home being that is the one I use the most.

I know before my VSG, my scale used to lie to me all the time.

I'm being serious. It's a20 pound difference between two doctor's offices digital scales days apart. It makes no sense.

I'm sorry, I didn't know it was 20 lbs off. It seems scales in Dr offices always weigh heavier.

My surgeon's scale is about 3lb higher than mine. I figure this is due to clothes - I weigh naked at home.

My PCP's scale, though, I hate it. It weighs at least 20lb less than my home scale!  It's useless so I ignore it.
