Foamies and vomiting

Had a scrambled egg with a very small amount of shredded cheddar cheese. I was so so thirsty that I took a sip of water maybe 10 minutes after eating. That wasn't a good idea. I ended up vomiting up just the water though.

Then for dinner I had 1oz of Tuna with light mayo with a small amount of mozzarella shredded cheese. Well that hit hard even with the small amount. I needed up vomiting and it was just foam. Felt netter after that. Took it easy for the rest if the day. Not sure why I vomited. Can it be the cheese?  Fist time I had cheese with scrambled egg it also felt like it hit hard. Had stern all pain with it. Didn't try cheese again till yesterday.

I had a similar reaction when I made an omelet a couple weeks ago (I didn't throw up, but it felt stuck and I was uncomfortable for hours). It was decided that the egg was probably too dry. Don't feel bad about the sip of water making it worse. I think at some point we all have to learn that one the hard way. When you're sleeve won't digest for hours you will try just about anything to encourage it along.

I can tell you that I haven't gotten food stuck since then :) It gets better! Just give it time.

Eggs and tuna are two things that are notoriously difficult for the sleeve, especially in the first few weeks.  Tuna was particularly difficult for me.  I do it now but it has to be super-moist.

did you have the same problem with salmon?  I find it can hit hard as well.

I did have the same problem if the salmon was on the dry side.  Salmon is more dense than a lot of other fish but if it's cooked right I handle it just fine

To date salmon is the only thing that has caused me to throw up and it was over-grilled and very dry.  I've had salmon a few times since then with zero problem.  Thank goodness, since I love it!

See, I was completely the opposite. Tuna and egg salad were my staples from week 3 through 8. But I agree...whatever it is, it has to be super moist!

Could you be lactose intolerant? I became lactose intolerant after surgery. Now I either avoid dairy products or I take lactaid when I do eat dairy foods. Hope you get better soon.

I agree with Tracy D. Eggs and tuna are notoriously difficult to get down at the beginning. It took me a few months to be able to tolerate eggs. Even now I have to make sure I put 2 TBSP of light mayo in my Tuna to even begin of thinking of eating it. I suspect these 2 foods are the culprit. Try to cut back on these two foods for a a couple weeks and try again.
